The mandatory preparation is the presentation/discussion task where you present one of the given topics.
When you get the email is dependent on when your AC is. When I booked mine it was in two weeks so I had to wait a week til I got all the instructions.

wait so, please could you tell me the whole process of completing the mandatory preparation in detail and like exactly what you had to do please ??

I would greatly appreciate this.

And for some reason I cannot find the 'Final Stage Assessment' tab on my candidate portal ?

who do I contact regarding this ?

For anyone who has done the presentation, is it just 15 minutes of uninterrupted talking time? Or are you asked questions along the way?

Reply 1202

does anyone remember if during the initial application we were required to upload a cv?

You are asked questions along the way to make you elaborate on some of the points you’ve made, as well as ask you questions you have not prepared for

You could contact the Early Careers HelpDesk about that issue. Likewise, all your questions are answered in that ‘Final Stage Assessment’ tab, it explains pretty clearly everything that is required of you

Do you know when you are presenting.

Lets say you go above the allotted time, does it make your overall presentation mark suffer?

And does the assessor like cut you off after you have completed the 15 minutes ?

Will the assessor have like a visible stop clock that you will be able to see on the day ?

Reply 1207

I doubt going over will make your mark suffer. There was no visible time but the assessor could be looking at the time from their Laptop.

Basically it’s more like a discussion, mine interrupted me after about 8mins because of an interesting point. We discussed that point further. Then proceeded to ask me to continue with my points because he could see my notes and knew I was not done.

oh !

So is that the case with every other topic discussions ??

Like i thought they ask follow up questions at the end ?

After your presentation. He will ask follow up questions.

Then their will be an additional piece of information that will change your presentation. You will be given 5 mins to discuss how that piece of information affects your presentation.

I mean 5 mins to prepare how you think it will affect your presentation, then you and your assessor will discuss it. He/she will ask a few questions.

Don’t panic, you will be fine. The assessor make you feel at ease.

Ah I see.

Do you reckon they will be able to show me the time so whilst I am presenting I am able to refer back to it and keep on top of it ?

or could I ask them at regular intervals how long I have etc ?

To be honest, I will say you shouldn’t worry so much about the timing. Just do a thorough research and have your ideas noted.
However, I strongly believe you can always set a timer yourself. The assessor really won’t mind. They are super cool and friendly. They make you feel at ease.

Mind you it’s not a stand up presentation, you both will be seated, so it’s more like your sharing your thoughts with the assessor. Mine could see my presentation notes, cos I had it on the table. So he could tell what stage I was and what point I was going to say next.

Oh I see now.

Thank you very much for the clarification, in terms of post FSA.

How long did it take you to receive your feedback report as well as the offer email/call ?

and how was your FSA overall. Did you find the topic discussion go a bit better than your interview ?

I applied for Deloitte Assurance, and the assessment is super long—feels even tougher than EY! It mainly has SJT, numerical reasoning, verbal reasoning, and logical reasoning. Has anyone else applied to Deloitte?
Also, just a heads up: Deloitte isn’t accepting PSW anymore! Plus, some roles don’t offer sponsorship, so keep that in mind!

I submitted my online assessment on 27th Feb but still have not received any reply about vi invitation😭

I got my feedback 2 weeks after FSA and offer a week after my feedback. So offer was 3 weeks after FSA.
Overall my FSA experience was amazing. Prepare a Solid presentation, practice motivational and competency based questions.

did you find that the topic discussion was a lot easier compared to the interview ?

And did you find that the interview a little hard - becuz my interviewer was very quiet and serious and wasn't really giving any indication whether I was doing well if you get what I mean ?

Like normally from interviews you can see whether or not you are doing well from reading your interviewer. But my assessor for my discussion was very engaging and at the end of my 15 minutes she said that my presentation was a very passionate one. So i would certainly say my discussion was a lot better than my interview.

Also, what role and location did you apply for ?

The topic discussion was better and engaging. My interviewer too gave no expression, so you don’t know if you saying the right thing or not.
I applied for graduate audit at reading.
What about you and when was your interview?

I applied for Assurance Manchester and I had mine on Wednesday.

Overall it was fine, just wanted the Interview to go a bit better that's all. My presentation though certainly was quite good.

I am not too sure, I just cant stop thinking about the interview that's all !!!!

I just wished I gave better answers that's all. But on the bright side, I do think that I was one of the first people to be interviewed for my role as my FSA's were occurring in March/April - and they did say something like available slots usually depends on outcomes. Which kind of means is if people satisfy our needs then we will hire them and if the first batch dont then there will be more assessments in April.

What I want to know is, how well do you need to perform in order to get the offer ?

I was under the impression that if you absolutely flop the FSA then you would get rejected and even if you did okay u would still get it as you have reached the final stage and more or less its your battle to lose right ?
