i also had an ai chatbot which id never seen before. was skeptical on using it since it says before the exam no ai chatbots allowed. i only used it for the last question where i asked it about the fact the last question doesnt let me use python. it said "focus on the question" or something oddly rude 😭

😂🤣

I applied to engineering too, did my codility yesterday and got the feedback report today. There were no strengths (like there was in my JS assessment feedback), only development tips. I presume this means I did really badly but I have not received my results yet. The codility assessment was much harder than other coding assessments I’ve done, and I only passed all test cases for 2/4 problems. The 3rd problem I passed half test cases, and the last question I didn’t even have time to attempt. How did you find the test?

I think its normal, I did the HK one asw and my feedback report had nothing on it either unlike the JS one. I doubt that its indicative of your performance on the test.

passed all the test cases and questions, except the last one, which was restricted to programming languages i wasnt good in (im only good at python). my codility feedback report also had no strengths, however i dont think its meant to. i also suspect everyone got the same codility feedback, because i feel like mine wasnt personalised at all?
Hey, could you please tell me which language we are required to use for the last question? Many thanks 🙂

did anyone apply for the "Digital Business Services - Engineering Graduate Programme"? i did the first stage "simulate" on nov 1st (which i swear i bottled), but then the next day they said i made it through to the 2nd round which was a codility, which i did on the 5th of nov. since then i have recived feedback on the codilty (nothing useful or tailored to me from i can see) and my personality feedback report (highest strengths are drive, learning agility and inegrity, with lowest being ownership).
anyone applied to the same scheme?

Hey, I applied to quant finance and passed the simulation, which was very strange—within 24 hours, I received an email saying I had moved on to the second round. I'm currently preparing for the Codility assessment and wanted to ask about your overall experience with this assessment. I'm not looking for the exact questions, but I'm interested in knowing if the practice assessment and programming challenge had the same level of difficulty. Many thanks!

Just got it as well. What did your feedback look like? My top strengths were collaboration, works inclusively and integrity. Development area was ownership.

Same strengths! Did you pass the job simulation? When did you hear back from them? I received a response within 24 hours with the outcome. I just want to find out if this is normal or if it usually takes longer.

Hi, I completed the simulate assessment on 9 Oct and then I did a coding assessment on 12 Oct. I think most of the checks they do are automated so it’s not surprising to get a response quickly if you passed or not

Has anyone here done an AC in Sheffield for tech?
It’s been radio silence from recruitment and I finished all the tests by mid October.
Today I got an email saying they’re still interested in my profile and will get back soon. They also wished merry Christmas so I don’t expect to hear from them until January.

Hey everyone, I applied for the IB grad program in Singapore, does anyone have info on the ACs yet? I've also received their season's greetings, so good news is that I wasn't rejected yet.

Hey there, I’m also a quant finance applicant. I completed my test all the way back in November, and have only recently gotten the holiday wishes email, hoping we get some news on the AC or next stages soon.

Hope the test went well for you!

I just spoke with a Vice President that was from the commercial banking grad program (they started to work for HSBC a few years ago). They told me that they received their invites for the AC in April, and that the bulk of HSBC's ACs start in Jan/Feb.

Hello everyone. I think I have some interesting information for everyone. I have recently accepted my offer for the technology graduate scheme - engineering in Krakow. I got the offer 4 days ago. My process was identical to everyone else's up to a point. I did the personality test and got my strengths and weaknesses. Did a long codility test and finally did my final stage. I got a call from a recruiter to schedule the final stage. Unlike the UK , the final stage in Krakow( virtual) for HSBC are two 30min interviews with two technical people. I would also like to add that I pretty much applied the day or the next day the job role was live.

Hi, congratulations on receiving an offer! I have the final stage interview lined up (2 x 30 mins) and was wondering if you could possibly provide some insight into the 'technical' portion of questions that were asked for your role?
