It is natural to perform badly when you first start your A-levels because it is a massive jump, I would try and not get upset by it because most people will be in a similar situation (also don't compare yourself to others). Do you know why you are getting those marks?

In terms of friendships, try and talk to people in your classes - it may lead nowhere but you might also make great friends.

i’ve chosen the same subjects, and i’m feeling exactly the same too. the advice i’ve been given by old students is “just keep going”. remember this is the biggest jump we have to do, this is the hardest it will be

just know you’re not the only one - i’m just pushing through too!! sending lots of love and good luck xx

Thank you for this! I'm just struggling so much, especially with the teaching myself. You have taken alot of my chest by letting me know others are in the same boat as me.
We've got this!! Wishing you best of luck xx

it is really hard to try teach yourself things. believe me, i’m trying to do that too (a lot of my teachers are useless). i’ve just gotten the cgp books for my courses - they helped a lot with gcse and i’m hoping they do with alevel! they might look big and intimidating but i highly recommend giving them a shot if you feel your teachers aren’t doing well either

thank you, we can do this!! xx
