A levels help please

Really confused, need help!

If I was to do psychology, economics and business would that be a good combo? I know that top unis won’t like it but will normal ones accept it ( like royalholloway) but could I still do a degree in finance or business management or accounting?

Another question, if I do pick those can I still get an degree apprenticeship if I choose not to go to uni fully?

Also, if I do both will it get confusing with the content or will it help me out with both of them?

Thanks!

They're essay based subjects, so OK? Economics and business might be too similar though (even though they really are separate subjects).

No, yes, and yes respectively. Pure finance degrees require A Level Maths generally. If it's a joint accounting and finance degree, you might be able to get away with not doing A Level Maths. You will need to check the entry requirements of the individual degree to be sure though.

Having said that, if you don't intend to go into teaching, academic research, or study the subjects purely for the passion for them, then you're wasting your time doing degrees in the above subjects in my opinion. In industry, you won't need a degree to go into any of the above areas. For finance and accounting specifically, you would need the appropriate professional qualification for the specific role that you want to apply for - if you don't do it via your apprenticeship. A degree in the subject won't help you here.

Yes. I would check the individual degree apprenticeship to be sure.
I don't know what you mean by not going to "uni fully".

This question makes no sense to me. You would need to elaborate to clarify.

Hello,

We hope you found the answer to this.

If you still need help, you can ask our Admissions team on Unibuddy. They'll be able to give you some more information about degree apprenticeships and give you some advice about your options. You can chat with them directly here.

Best wishes,
Royal Holloway, University of London
