ucas advice??

ive got a place for biomed starting next week but also want to apply for dentistry, is this allowed?? can I apply while being in first year? and will the unis that I apply to know that im already in a course?
Yes, you can apply elsewhere whilst enrolled at another uni.

The ones you’re applying to will know because it’s mandatory to list the incomplete study on your UCAS application and in most cases they’ll ask for an academic reference from your current uni.

In most cases it’s not a great plan to enrol at one uni planning to apply elsewhere. Unless dentistry is a distant plan B, it will most likely waste a year of funding+outgoings.

okay thanks, will the universities perhaps see me as an unserious candidate applying for dentistry as i'm already enrolled? my inductions for this university (UCL), start on Monday, if I just go to induction week does it count as incomplete studies?

It counts if you formally enrol, regardless of what you actually attend.

Lot's of people change courses, so I don't think it's necessarily a sign of you being unserious. It just raises the question, "why did they enrol on biomed only to apply for Dent straight away?".
Did u end up applying
