old classmate from primary school messaged me

So there was a boy in my primary school who I wasn’t necessarily friends with but we got along. He has Asperger’s and struggled socially. Hadn’t really thought about him in years until he randomly messaged me on Facebook the other day. He said he was “reaching out to old friends” and I didn’t want to be rude so I replied and just started general chit chatter. He keeps continuing the conversation and I don’t want to be rude and not reply. Turns out he works at the school down my road. He then asked if I wanted to meet up which I haven’t replied to yet. How do I turn him down nicely? I’m in my late 20s now and have a partner. I don’t really want to meet up with this guy. I asked him who else he’d spoken to from school and he said no one so it seems he’s only reached out to me? Idk I hate being rude and ignoring people but I also am not interested in forming a friendship with this guy. Also awkward as the chance of bumping into him is high!

Just say, sorry but you’re too stretched with other things. Alternatively suggest he meets up with you and your partner for a coffee at some vaguely defined point in the future. Either way he’ll likely get the lie of the land
