SFE has paid me way over what i am entitled to in my maintenance loan

So I applied for a maintenance loan, and once the assessment was completed it stated that I would be receiving the maximum amount possible, of £13,348. This is incorrect, I called SFE and the person was quite inexperienced and simply told me to upload some documents and that someone would resolve this for me.

It's been over 3 weeks, and I'm due to be paid on the 23rd of Sept..

When I called them they said that their income data for my household is £0; which is obviously incorrect.

On top of this, since my uni thinks my household income is too low they have given me a bursary of £3000, which I'm certainly not entitled to.

What should I do? I don't want to receive all this money next week, and then have issues with SFE later on.

Hi there,

Evidence can take 6-8 weeks to process so if you have only sent this recently then it will still be in a queue being worked. Had you incorrectly stated the wrong living location on your application or why was the assessment incorrect? Thanks, Jason
