Got A*AA in my A-levels but failed the UCAT the second time, pharmacy or two gap year

I got A*AA in my A levels, five 9s, four 8s, A,7 on my GCSEs but I just did the UCAT for the second time and got a low score 2570 band 3 which is not much better than my first time 2530 band 2. I feel really quite lost because I wanted to re-apply to dental school and I am really passionate about the career. I am most likely going to have to take 2 gap years and so I have been advised by my parents and others to do 3 years pharmacy (i'm not against this, I respect the career and will make the most of it but it is not my passion) then apply post-graduate (I am aware of how insanely competitive this is but it can be done). The issue is, my parents and the teachers at school do not support taking the gap years as it is a risk, no guarantee of success. I have an offer for pharmacy university.

Not the ideal situation but you could start pharmacy, redo your ucat and apply for dental school whilst doing your first year of pharmacy, and if you do well and get an offer you drop out of pharmacy and start dentistry. I did similar a few years ago, started a degree in chemistry, knew from early on I hated it so applied for biomed then started that after first year

Thank you so much for replying! When looking online, I couldn’t find much about whether it is possible to apply to dental university while doing pharmacy.
