How to get a First Class Degree?

Hi,

I am aiming to get a first class honours, but due to a long lasting situation outside of uni, I achieved a 60.92% overall for my second year (2:1) across 11 modules, yet a 70% and above is a First Class.

My overall degree is weighted 66.6*% third year and 33.3*% second year (two thirds third year and one third second year).

Is it possible for me to get a fist? What would I roughly need to average in my final year to obtain a first?

My final year includes 4 modules worth 20 credits each and my dissertation worth 40%.

If you achieved 60.92% in the second year, and it is worth 1/3 of your degree classification, then you would need 74.54% in your third year to achieve 70% overall.

So, yes it is possible to get a first in your degree.

If you achieved 70% in your dissertation, you would need at least 76.81% in each of the other four modules to achieve an overall third year score of 74.54%.
If you achieved 75% in your dissertation, you would need at least 74.31% in each of the other four modules to achieve an overall third year score of 74.54%.
If you achieved 80% in your dissertation, you would need at least 71.81% in each of the other four modules to achieve an overall third year score of 74.54%.
