Literally yesterday you said that you needed help respecting them. Now you are extolling the virtues of doing it.
2 days ago you said that they yelled at you in public, which you then backtracked on and said it was them being supportive.
A week ago you said they wouldn't leave you alone, forcing you to eat and change what you wear.
Also a week ago you said they compare you to other family members saying they are better than you, and make you feel like a failure.
So what I am suggesting is that your relationship with your parents is complicated, and it's perhaps not as simple as universal respect for them.
