Starting personal statement with a quote
In the opening paragraph (not the opening line) I used a quote and then critiqued it to kind of segway into my interests, but I’ve heard that it’s super cliche to use a quote but my teacher said he likes when people used quotes so kind of confused. Should i avoid quotes?
It is 100% a cliche to open with a quote, but if you are critiquing it then it can work.
