Yes, fair enough! I do apologize for this stupid question! And good luck to everyone!

Don't worry about it! As long as you have a couple of good examples in your head for the two behaviours listed in the job advert (Making Effective Decisions, Communicating and Influencing), you'll be fine. The strengths questions are meant to be your natural 'off the cuff' response, so it's best not to try to prepare for them.

Are the preparing for the questions in the video interview brief or give a min or so to plan out?

If I remember rightly, for the behaviours it's around 2-3 minutes to prepare your answer then you talk for 4 minutes. For strengths, it's 15 seconds to prepare (!) and 2 minutes to talk.

There are a few threads about previous compliance caseworker campaigns but I can't see one specifically for the current one - 376R.
I thought it might be useful to start one so we can share progress, timelines etc.
- I completed my application and online tests on 16th September.
- Invitation to PRVI on 18th September (completed same day)
I also attended a webinar on 18th September where we were told that interview results will likely be end of October, with the virtual in tray exercise taking place in November. The expectation is that successful candidates will have a start date in February / March 2025.

How many questions in total in the interview?

How many questions in total in the interview?

Five - two behaviour questions and three strength questions. Plus the ID check.

In previous campaigns the virtual in tray exercise was drafting an email / letter to a customer to answer a tax related query, which was then uploaded at the end of the interview.
Must be slightly different this time around though as only those who pass interview will be asked to do the in tray, so it’s not happening at the same time.
On the webinar I attended they said they were still working out the details but it would take place in November.

I need more clarification on this please? Do you mean after completing the Video Interview will need to upload another document?

No - that's how it worked in previous campaigns.

This time we do the PRVI first (only document you will need to upload is your ID). Only those who pass the PRVI will be invited to a virtual in-tray exercise, which is expected to take place in November.

What’s is the virtual intray exercise pls? Is that another interview or what?

Nobody has details of this campaign's virtual intray, but in previous campaigns you were given information and a query letter from a customer. You had to write a reply to the customer, recalculating their tax using the information provided. You were scored on the calculation, spelling & grammar and customer service.

Hi. I'm just about to do the testing. Can you do them one at a time and break in between or do you have to do them all in one sitting? Thanks

Yes, you do each test one at a time and you don't need to complete all three tests in one session. As long as you get them all done before the deadline on 30th!

There is lots of information here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/civil-service-online-tests

Good luck!

When's the deadline for pre recorded interview, is it on 30th September as well?

The online tests have to be completed by 30th. You will receive a link to do the PRVI within a few days of passing the online tests, and you'll have 7 days to complete the interview from when you receive the link.

After you complete the interview, do they tell you that you have successfully got the job? Or is it after the in tray exercise?

It would be after the intray. Interview results will come after ALL interviews have been scored (expected by end October) and successful candidates will be invited to the intray exercise. Those who pass the intray will go into the reserve list for their chosen location with offers made in merit order.

How much compliance have you complianced in your compliancing career so far?

Why would people tell you the questions?!

Do your research, you’re given lots of information in the job advert and interview pack that tells you everything you need to know.
