Man, freedom is *everything*! No one telling you what to do, late-night hangouts, new friends from everywhere, and you can actually study stuff you're into (or skip a class or two if you're feelin' lazy 😅) (im joking btw). Plus, all those parties and events? Vibes are on another level!

Being able to study one subject that you have chosen and are really interested in. Also having the time to focus on areas of this subject that you find particularly interesting.

I'd say one of the best things about university life is getting to meet people from all different types of backgrounds! University is such a diverse place and is a great opportunity to speak to and meet people you would not normally get the chance to interact with.

Getting to know people's different hobbies/interest/backgrounds etc is really nice!

Getting to study a subject you love - It really doesn't feel like a single subject, there is so much variety in the modules I was learning something different everyday.

•

Working as a student ambassador - I gained so much from this and it was such a fun way to earn some money and fill in some free slots in my timetable!

There are many elements to uni which all have their merits, but I would say that its only when you put all the experiences you have together that you get something really special and memorable!

Personally, the best thing about university life for me was personal growth. I made friends coming from different parts of the world, worked part-time jobs, joined clubs and societies and had new and fun experiences! There is an incredible sense of self-growth and development.

Another thing is - attending the on-campus events, especially the ones during freshers! The campus life is so vibrant and I felt that there is always something happening that I could get involved in!

The best thing about uni for me is, meeting lots of new like-minded people and experiencing lots of new things.

I think a highlight for me so far has been joining different sports and societies here at the Uni.

As others have mentioned above, the best thing about university life for me is probably the sense of freedom you get. It's really nice to move on from a traditional 'school' environment - e.g. where you're meant to be on the premises from 9-4 or so everyday - to a much more flexible university environment. Outside of my timetabled classes and lectures, I can arrange my day to suit myself: I can go shopping in-between lectures, or grab lunch at a nearby restaurant or cafe!

Living with friends - there are few other times in life where you get to live with your friends and have so much free time together

Being in a new city - I love finding new places to study or eat or spend time with friends

Studying a subject I have a genuine interest in - my love for my subject makes university great because I have a clear goal in mind so feel purpose in long hours of studying

I thought I'd also just reply to this to add my favourite things abut uni life!

1- The social aspect is one of my favourite things about uni. There are so many people to talk to and make friends with and there is always someone around to do something with. You will meet a wide range of people which is really nice as everyone is different but it works well and there will be someone you click with!

2- I also like the independence of being at uni. You have. a lot more freedom and independence than you would at home which I really liked. You get to live with friends, cook for yourself and just have the independence to go out and do things whenever you can!

3- Getting to try new hobbies is also really fun and you get lots of opportunities for this that you might not get at home. There will be so many societies that you can join and they are great ways of trying something new that you might not have tried before and they are also great ways of making friends with lots of new people.

4- I also like that you can just study the one thing that you are interested in. Unlike school where you have to study certain things, you can just choose what you like and study that. It makes it a lot more interesting and I have found that I am a lot more motivated to work as I really enjoy the subject.

5- Living in a new city is really fun too. I have really enjoyed living away from home and exploring a new city and I would say this is one of the best things I have found with moving away for university.
