PGCE school placement is over an hour away

The university have placed me in a school which is more than an hour away to travel to. Any chances I could get them to change it to a closer school especially since I don’t drive?

You can ask, but, if it's anything like my uni, you'll have signed a document to confirm that you understand your placements can be up to 2 hours travel in each direction. Both of mine were 40 minutes away on a bus (plus walking time to stop), and one was 5 minutes quicker to walk 😄
