Job during Masters?

Hello, I'm considering doing my bachelor's in a biology-related field. Tuition is already costly for international students, so when I pursue my master's afterward, I want to know if any good job opportunities can help me pay off at least 2/3 of the tuition fees. Or are my expectations unrealistic? If so, I'll look for scholarship options.

Check out if you have any visa restrictions. You may be limited to 20 hours work per week? That probably won't be enough to make a difference.

Hi @JHUEIGDNEJ,

Are you considering a part-time or full-time Masters? This may have a lot of influence on whether you feel that you are able to balance a job whilst studying. A part-time masters typically runs over 2 years and allows time for employment whilst a full-time masters typically runs for 1 year and is more intense. Also, as @threeportdrift said, your visa may limit the hours you are able to work alongside your studies.

Some great options for part-time work can be found in:

Restaurants and bars

Local shops

Student Ambassador schemes such as the one offered by the University of Exeter (this is dependent on your university)

On-campus/university bars or shops

Tutoring - online or locally

If you are interested in studying a biology-related masters degree, consider the ones that the University of Exeter offers: https://www.exeter.ac.uk/study/postgraduate/?utm_source=studentroom&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_campaign=uoe-acquisition-enquiry

Hope that you found this helpful! If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask!
