could i go from failing to get some or most grade 9s in gcses

hi so gcses are what in around 8 months and in my year 10 mocks my lowest grade was a 2 and my highest grade was a 6 so i was wondering if i put in the effort now i could get atleast some grade 9s i was thinking like revising 4 hours on a weekday and hopefully around 10 hours on weekends.

my problem is that im really unmotivated and i have trouble focusing and i feel like i dont really care about my gcses but i do, like when i try to go revise i do a bit of the task then i feel like its useless and just stop and go back in bed and like i get bored really easily and then get distracted, i also dont know where to start but like people always say start with like what you struggle with the most but with maths i dont remember every topic even tho im in the highest set but im gonna be honest i did cheat on tests in year 10 and on monday i have a mock and i dont know what to do because i dont wanna move down too foundation can someone help out please!

I think it’s absolutely possible to go up a significant amount from your year 10 mock grades- provided you put the work in!
I would suggest the first thing you do is to reflect on your mock exams- do you know why they didnt go well for you? You’ll need to focus on which topics you didnt do great on, if there were issues with exam technique etc
Then id suggest filling those knowledge gaps. Do you know how to revise effectively? What this looks like varies greatly but I’d be happy to give you some suggestions for subjects if you tell me which ones your struggling with and need suggestions for (I got 9999998886A at GCSE so my revision techniques cant have been awful lol).
For Maths (which you already mentioned) I would suggest that you do Corbett maths 5-a-day (maybe do two or three per day on different levels?). This well help you find what you’re doing wrong and you can find a video on Corbetts YouTube channel to fill the knowledge gap. Once you’re confident with the content you can then do more practice questions (again worksheets on Corbett lol)
If you’re not very motivated then structure is a great way to hold yourself to account. Make a plan (maybe print out a calendar) and write on each day what subjects you’ll be doing and how long for. If you’re struggling to motivate yourself then something like a GYG blog (if you dont know what one is see mine Here) could help you or having an accountability partner (either a friend or someone online) who you can discuss study goals with to make you more motivated to work!
Hope this helps and happy to try answer any questions if you have them 🙂

Of course you can improve your grades! It's all a matter of discipline and practice.

Have you tried making fashcards and a plan for how to revise? I think this would help with motivation! There are also a lot of youtube channels you can watch, it's very low effort but great for learnings. And if you practice mock exams at home often then you will be more confident on exam day! You can use Tilf website to practice a few essays and get used to the mark your receive. As long as you practice regularly and consistently you can do it! You just need to figure out what exactly are the biggest learnings you need to make and focus on this.
