I’d say 2/3 your subjects definitely link to law and criminology! Surely there are a lot of legal elements to social care and health (medical law, law around social care, etc.) and a lot of cases relevant here. Psychology also has links to law, in regards to mental illness and criminal law for example, or sleepwalking as a defence (or the defence of automatism with insanity).

If not, there’s no requirement to mention your subjects in your personal statement if you think they don’t link to your degree (especially not in law, which is a degree you can do with any subjects). Defo mention the EPQ though.

thank you so so much! I was over like 200 characters as well aha so I might just take out my sentence about photography. Do you think it's okay if I talk about just psychology, H&SC and my EPQ? Sorry for asking so many questions my teachers dont help much lol

Yeah absolutely. You should do what you feel like is best, it’s your chance to showcase yourself, right? If you want advice btw, there are a lot of great vids on YouTube to check out. Best of luck with your ps
Hi there,

It's great to hear you're interested in studying Law and Criminology at Royal Holloway!

We have some guidance on what to include in your personal statement on our website under the 'Hints and tips' drop-down on this page which could be useful for you. It may also be worth taking a look at our Department of Law and Criminology webpage to see modules, current research, and more that could also help inform your personal statement.

I hope this helps - best of luck!
