Hey, I got offers for PPE (so not completely politics but similar) and for the politics part of my personal statement I wrote about the reading I did surrounding thinkers I learned about at A Level, my visit to a party conference, a Q and A I went to with an MP and an article I read about climate change. I personally didn’t have any Politics related work experience but I know others who have got some with their local MP, their local mayor or their local council. I’m pretty sure there are some virtual work experience opportunities you can get on sites like Springpod.
Honestly through the majority of my personal statement I talked about my wider reading and thoughts on books, I would say the most important thing to stand out isn’t about the variety of activities and experiences you have, it’s more that you can make a unique insight on what you’ve done and connect it to why it’s inspired you to pursue that subject or other areas of politics research.

thank u so much! my goal is actually a ppe but I’ve been trying to think of ways to show my interest in poltitics. any other things u did for a ppe or was that the general direction of ur personal stament?

No problem!
Again the majority of my philosophy and economics experience came from exploration through reading around the subjects, I also completed a data analysis virtual work experience thing to show that I could handle the mathematics aspects of the course. I tied in clubs and extracurriculars I’d participated in at school in my final paragraph, whilst also talking about what career path I hopefully want to take out of doing a PPE degree.
