What happins when dropping out in a week or so

If I dropped out within a couple weeks of starting uni, would I still have to pay? What about my student finances and stuff, would I still be in debt?

You'd need to check your university's policies. It's possible that if you drop out very early there will be no tuition fees due. For example, Bristol say the following (at https://www.bristol.ac.uk/media-library/sites/secretary/documents/student-rules-and-regs/Student-Fees-Regulations.pdf):

UG programme fees to be charged as follows:

No fees charged if withdrawal date is within the first two (teaching) weeks of the start of the course.

25% of fees charged if withdrawal date is after the first two weeks and before the start of the second term.

50% of fees charged if withdrawal date is after the start of the second term and before the start of the third term.

100% of fees charged if withdrawal date is after the start of the third term.

Regarding your maintenance loan, my understanding is that you would need to repay a proportion of the maintenance loan paid out on a pro-rata basis. So, if the loan payment had been made to cover a 14 week period and you dropped out after two weeks, then you'd have been overpaid by 12 weeks and would need to repay 12/14th of the sum. You'd need check with SFE (or SFW, SFNI, SAAS as appropriate) to see what rules they apply.

You would need to check the position with regards to your accommodation contract if you're living away from home to see how that works, and how much you would be liable for.
