2580 B3 UCAT score, can I apply to dentistry with this?

Hello everyone, before sitting the exam I made the decision to apply for dentistry if I got a good enough score (above 2600). Is 2580 worth apply with? The band 3 SJT isn't helping either.

I was thinking about plymouth, sheffield and liverpool but idk anymore.

Any uni suggestions/general advice would be really appreciated, thank you

Sheffield won't historically consider Band 3 and there is cut off is 2690 ish based on previous years. Plymouth last year was 2610. Liverpool is definitely an option as they look less at UCAT. Do you have good GCSE's?

Thanks for your reply! I didn't know about this. My GCSEs are 888777766. Do you think it's worth trying to apply or should I not bother?

heyy, if you’re contextual and have good predicted grades I think it’s worth a try. You could apply to QMUL, Kings ESDP, Liverpool & I’d say Plymouth is a shout as the ucat cut off point could decrease so It wouldn’t hurt to give it a shot! If you’re contextual then Newcastle is also a very good option as they have the PARTNERS programme where they give a reduced offer of BBB & invite people with lower ucat scores to interview. I saw someone with a score of 2540 get in last year!
Honestly, I’d say don’t give up, your UCAT score is not bad and I think you should give it a try
