Career choice

I’m stuck. I’ve been stuck for a while now. I’m heading into university next year with 2 options. Either data science or medicine. Could someone guide me please about the job market in the future and what career path would be more beneficial overall. I’ve done a lot of research but I’d just like a bit more insight.

Thanks in advance!!!

I can't speak on data science as I don't really know much about it... but for medicine, you are ALWAYS guaranteed a job if job stability is what you're looking for. One thing I love about medicine is the fact there's so many specialities and areas within it so you can really do what you're most interested in. However, with medicine you have to be incredibly sure that it is what you want to do as you're not going to be able to make it through the course and in the job without the passion for it. The shape the NHS is in at the moment, I wouldn't pick it for a friendly work-life balance that's for sure.... you will be overworked and underpaid at some point during your time as a doctor hence why I say you need to be 100% sure of going down that path. Good luck with whatever decision you make
