Latin Learning For a Beginner!

Hello! I plan to study Classics in university, and would like to pick up Latin before going! My school doesn't offer Latin as a course, and I've found it difficult to pick up even though I take AP Spanish (American curriculum). Does anyone have any tips, books, or websites to help with getting started? I've been doing Latin on Duolingo for a while now, but it's not going very well. Any help is appreciated, thank you!

A tip from someone who had Latin at school: when you use flashcards for vocabularies, write a Latin sentence the vocabulary below to firstly remember the meaning and secondly to get familiar with the grammar.
