Passport held hostage can’t enroll at uni

So basically my parents are holding my passport, they always have which is fine, but it’s problematic since I need it tomorrow. I’ve mentioned that I needed my passport to my dad in the past and last night (10:30pm) texted them saying I’ll be collecting it today and that I NEED it for Monday. and they both saw it last night and my dad responded with a thumbs up. We’ve gotten into a bit of an argument over general uni stuff so things are pretty tense from yesterday. Usually my parents tell me to tell them things in advance if they need to find things which I did. Btw the passport is in their room I know that they know where it is because they take passport security very seriously. So I came at 1:40pm to collect it and I asked my dad and he says he doesn’t know. He’s usually pretty incompetent with these things which is fine since my mum is in charge. So I went to her and she’s just saying she needs time to find it. But I have a driving lesson at 2pm she still hasn’t “found” it and I feel like they just don’t want to give it to me. We got into a heated argument on my way out and they tried to physically stop me stop leaving the house so I don’t think I’ll be coming back. It’s 6pm now they haven’t texted me or called me since then so I highly doubt I’ll be getting it. Slight problem is that tomorrow I enroll at uni and they specifically state that I need my passport in its original copy and they don’t accept a driving license. They also don’t accept electronic copies / photos of the passport so I’m not sure what to do. I’m in an awkward situation where I’m not sure they would believe me, and even if they did would they accept me regardless. I have my licence and I have a photo of my passport which I’m sure I’ve already sent them so I’m not sure why they would ask again.
