BPS accreditation

Hi there, I was wondering if I major in Psychology in my undergrad honours year is my degree BPS accredited? Still waiting on hearing back from my professors about this so thought I could ask here. In years 1-3 I did all data and analysis modules which was required for BPS accredited students but after my induction the other day its starting to sound like a different story for joint honours students?

it can depend very heavily on your uni and what modules you take e.g. where i studied you could take two people on the same joint honours psychology course and one would be BPS accredited and another wouldn't be because of their module choices. you're probably not going to get a reliable answer from here because it is so situation dependent, I'd suggest waiting until you hear back from your professors.

It will be about the course that you applied for, and the uni should have worked out whether it is accredited based on what psych modules you have to do. Look at the BPS website section about accreditation and see if the course you applied for is there.

Usually it's the first and second year modules that count for accreditation as they are the foundation ones that give you the necessary breadth and depth

It might say in your programme handbook, I don't know for your situation but you usually have to study research methods, cogntive, biological, developmental and individual differences psychology, and social psychology + dissertation
