boots christmas customer advisor interview

hey guys I have an interview coming up I would really appreciate tips and tricks advice that was given questions that were asked one of the questions i always end up messing up is name a time when you worked as part of a team and what did you do to make it successful? i have experience in warehouse and a bit of customer service yet no clue. please help....

Unfortunately every time boots have interviews the individual store manager tends to change the questions they ask so that nobody else knows what they will be asked about.

You just need to answer the questions the best way possible.

Omg I get so nervous and I got rejected from the first boots interview too. I honestly thought I did well I got so demotivated. Could you please give an example of working in a team as I have googled it but they are generic and I do say the warehouse one that I have but I dont think they get impressed by that. What would you advice for Christmas gifts in boots like for young teenager I heard they might ask that.

For suggestions for teenage girls and boys gifts in boots would be either perfume or makeup for girls and perhaps aftershave or something like that for the boys.

Working as a team member is very important at the busiest times when the big stores have big promotions as they are wanting the staff to sell whatever the promotion items are too boost there yearly sells and yes manager takes all the credit from head office.

You have to be able to work as part of a team majority of the time, sometimes you might have to help another person with there workload especially if you are finished with yours.

Like person said in reply 3 to you, perhaps for gifts I would suggest makeup and something like body deodorant and for the boy's and men perhaps aftershave or a personalised groom. Each individual customer will want something special for a gift 🎁 🎁 🎁.

Team work is really important at times in boots when you are dealing with special promotions days throughout the year as depending on what the promotion is then the specific department will have to prepare everything for it 😞 😞, working as a team member gets the job done faster, I wouldn't worry about you having warehouse experience because that is very useful for working in places like boots as you dealing with stock all the time so you will understand that side better.

hi. i failed the second time as well they keep changing questions. i just get frozen my last interview is on thursday for boots I hope i get it is for retail operations. any tips would be highly appreciated @Littleemma98 @Allyson2020 or anybody else. I am struggling financially as well and this of me not getting a job is making me so... you understand right.

Sorry to hear that you failed the interview again..... Did you get feedback from them to allow you to see what you did wrong with things 😞 😞 😭.

They are looking for people who can work hard, work as a team, work under pressure when they have special promotions on and obviously the most busiest time of the year is the next couple of months with Christmas and New year sales.

Yes they change the questions for good reasons - so that nobody can just repeat the same things as last time around plus it is too stop people cheating.

Ok I thought you would have done your application via boots own website as a regular job applicant.

As you have done it as a guest then perhaps you should contact the particular store and ask them if you can get a feedback letter regarding your recent interview and hopefully they will send it to you either by email or posting it to you ( normally email you).

In meantime don't give up on applying for a job with boots as just make sure you are applying to different job references numbers as can't apply to the same reference number for a year ( there rules).

Yes that's is correct you can't apply to the same job reference number regardless of what area it's for.

If applying for other jobs with boots then perhaps if possible apply to different boots stores within your local area ( or within a certain distance from your house okay) don't apply for to many jobs at once - maybe one or two every two to three days as if rejected from one application then sometimes you will be rejected from everyone you apply to as well.
But sounds like you must have a a good profile when you applied for the current job and therefore you would have a good chance of successful in other jobs you applied for.
You have nothing to lose by applying as if you get a job offer for the position you applied for recently and got a interview for another job with boots then all you do is notify them that you no longer want to go forward with your interview because you were offered a job.
