You would need level 1 120 credits in the modules for the pathway you want to do level 2 in.

Yes so i get 120 in psycology. Then i either want to do degree in psycology so i know that will be okay. Im wondering if psycology can be a pathway to level 2 social work? Like are they compatible? Thank you

It’s great that you’re considering flexible learning options! Typically, transferring from a CertHE in Psychology to the second year of a bachelor’s degree in Social Work would depend on the specific modules you've taken and how closely they align with the social work curriculum. Some universities may allow this, especially if both qualifications have overlapping core modules.

However, since you mentioned not choosing the children-related module, it's important to check with both your current course advisor and the Social Work program director to ensure you meet the prerequisites for Year 2 entry. Social Work degrees often have specific requirements, especially around child and family studies, so missing a key module might impact your progression.

I'd recommend getting in touch with the admissions team or the Open University directly to clarify if this transfer is possible under your circumstances. They should be able to provide guidance based on their internal policies.

Best of luck with your studies!

If you look at the degree you want to do and see what modules are needed for level one. You can compare.
