should I change university doctors to a general practice

I have been struggling to get an appointment with my university doctors. I have been trying since last week but have been unable to get an appointment due to issues with my phone that cannot be sorted quickly.
Furthermore they are very unhelpful and I am very stressed about the state that I am in.
I want to join another doctors surgery in my university city however my university doctors is connected to another practice and you have to say that you are a student so they can direct you to my university doctors.
I am in a lot of pain and struggling to get a doctors appointment just because I'm a uni student is really making me unhappy.
What do I do?

You can register with any practice, it doesn't have to be a university one. In my experience, it's quicker to get an appointment in a surgery that isn't linked to a university. If the reason you can't make an appointment is your phone not working though, you could always go and make an appointment in surgery and ask if it could be face-to-face?
