Unicard pickup times

Hi. My course starts on Wednesday and I need to pick up my Unicard from the Cockroft Building before going to the first timetabled event in a different building.

I went down this morning around 9AM and the queue was pretty long, so I didn't join. I guess it's the first time cards are available, so might just be the initial rush. Is the queue like that every morning? Are there generally quieter times for card pickups? I could maybe go back down on Tuesday afternoon at a push.

I'm just trying to work out if it's too much of a risk to wait to pick it up on Wednesday morning before our 10AM start.
