losing my birth certificate

i had to give it for work experience application in college but someone lost it the staff member and everytime i see her i cant stop thinking abt it
idk if they put it in the bin or smth but i dont think im ever getting it back

If it's a college, get them to pay for another new one. They are like 10 quid from the council

my parents have alreadly paid for it but I'm anxious as to whether its identify theft cause normally someone would give important information but idk it feels suspicious as i never went through this and don't want them to have it and not tell what they are doing
