how to hold back tears?

i tried so hard but i couldnt in one time when i was in class and i feel judged so i had to leave the class
any tips on how to?
Don’t. If you’re upset then stand outside the class for a bit or think about something else or something happy if its for no reason

its really hard cause i got called something really bad and i knew ppl were gonna stare but my tears jst came out
also i dont think i can as the teacher would need a valid reason as to why im stepping outside the room + normally if students were going to do this then well staff members walking past would think their in trouble

It’s a tricky one, id still suggest standing outside- if someone were to ask why then you could just say you needed a minute which is fine
what worked for me was looking up and blinking while focusing on my breathing after a while tho I just came kinda numb towards negative things as I grew up in a really negative environment and I ended up seeing it as normal after time
