Can't reset password because I don't know my CRN

Hi,

I need to contact SLC as there is an issue with my repayment (I apparently wont be making one via PAYE this month, and need to know if that's correct)

Except I can't contact SLC because I don't know my CRN (I can't find a single scrap of correspondence), and the email address on file is deactivated. The website tells me to contact SFE on the 100 607 number, but that just redirects me to the 100 0611 number, which just puts me in an infinite loop of being asked for a reference number I don't have.

I need to speak to a person so I can ensure SLC are getting paid what is due. How does one do that?

Hi there,

If you do not have your customer reference number then you will need to call us and it would be the repayments team. They are open Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm.

0300 100 0611

Thanks, Drew

Hi Drew,

I've been trying 0300 100 0611 for days, and I can't find a single route through the options that helps or lets me speak to a person. I get into an infinite loop of

"enter your CRN or say help"

"help"

"Your CRN is an 11 digit number, say it now"

"help"

"Your CRN is an 11 digit number, say it now"

and on and on until I lose my temper.

Any guidance on how to tackle this cost-cutting bureaucratic nightmare would be very welcome.

Hi there,

If you call 0300 100 0611 and press option 2, then 3 then 1, say no, then help, it will ask you details about your post code etc. If you say don't have this, it will say it can't find your account and will put you through to speak to an advisor.

Thanks,
Claire
