Struggling with a-level subjects

I’m currently trialling two new subjects as I’ve decided to switch out of politics. I currently do English lit, film and Politics. I wasn’t enjoying Politics so I decided to trial History and English Language. I had my first trial today of both, and I found the tudor in History to be quite boring and it’s quite a big topic for it. I just don’t know what to do. Everyone around me said I shouldn’t really do English language because I already do lit.

my son has just started sixth form too and has changed his subjects twice and today he told me he wants to drop one of his subjects and study another.. as a parent I was very confused at the start but have been reflecting. My son said, ‘mum you’re not the one who will study these subjects for two years’.. that has helped me realise that he is right. Go with your gut instinct and don’t let others choose the subjects for you.

It really depends on what you're interested in. I'm in a similar position to you aha I'm taking english lit, psychology and economics but not 100% interested in economics. Maybe you could try a social science like psychology or economics? Maybe geography if not history? It depends on what you are interested in, try and think of your favourite subjects at gcse.
