Economics

Hi,
So basically I want to study economics and history but obviously I not every university offers this degree. I want to study at kings (non negotiable) but they only offer econ courses or history and political economy. My ps is more tailored to econ and history so which one would go better?

i think you should go for economics. history and political economy may not have a lot of econ-related modules. whereas in pureecon, you would most likely be doing concepts (possibly even modules) in economic history or international economics for your first-year.

i dont go the KCL so i can't confirm how the economics course is there, but i assume that it is probably very similar to other pure economics courses at other unis.

Straight economics at KCL as one first year module in economic history. While the political economy course there doesn't have any explicit economic history modules, there are quite a lot of political economy modules that look like they must be rooted in economic history (one example would be the political economy of colonialism - hard for a module like that to not have a historical component if that makes sense).

Thank you! I decided to stay with Econ at Kings!
