Year 11

My parents are pressuring me into revising straight away for year 11, i know they want well for me but it’s leading to avoid time with friends, free time etc. I don’t know how to explain to them how i want to plan out my revision so it doesn’t burn me out

That's a tough situation when your parents are pressuring you. The best way would probably to be a sort of compromise os like create a revision timetable so you can show them that you are actually doing some revision now.
From experience I do actually recommend revising little and often for your GCSEs so starting now isn't such a bad idea but just make sure to be consistent and steady so you wont burnout. If you leave it all till the last minute you are more likely to burn out but revising regularly is more effective and it leaves you with free time throughout the year instead of you being completely swamped in the last few weeks
Good luck with your GCSEs xx

thank you so much! i was thinking of doing so by creating a timetable and dedicating 1-2hrs each day compromising homework/revision but i wasn’t sure if it’s too much. Also i’m going on holiday just before my november mocks and im not sure how to approach preparing for them

At this stage even doing half an hour every weekday and then 1-2hrs on the weekend is a great start as you can get used to revising so it doesn't feel like such a chore nearer to GCSEs. If you are going on holiday just before your mocks then I would say to start revising a bit earlier and make sure you have a specific timetable set out for what you need to do after getting back as otherwise you will probably be so unorganised after your holiday so make sure everything is set up and ready to go when you come back
Enjoy your holiday xx

I basically burnt out right at the end of my GCSEs (10 days and 3 exams left) and felt that I peaked in January. Trust me and don't work too hard too early; that was my mistake. It was alright for me at the end but do look after yourself because there is a long way to go.
