2nd gap year

can i take a 2nd gap year?
I want to go uni but i want to do a different course... can i unenroll and take another year out?
Last year I retook one subject so I didn't really get a break from studying at all, only to realise ive lost passion for the subject I'm doing atm. I'm sitting through lectures right now and I'm just dreading it. I'm confident in my abilities to get through it but it's like does it sit right with my heart if I commit 3 years to this?

I do also feel like I'm delaying uni slightly and I do really want to experience uni life and all but the course is so long. And what if I choose another course that I like atm but by the time I apply for it, I dislike it? Then what?

You can take another gap year (I believe, hope somone else fact checks this) but I would say from what I read you could be trying to delay finishing uni because you worry about the outcomes (which is very good since you don't want to money and years to be wasted on uni)

Try to think of a scenario where you think of each diffrent courses that you would take and think of you finsihing uni, what happens to you. Specificly what job do you do and would you be willing to do for a long time (I'm not saying for the rest of time, since you can always get other jobs that don't need a "degree" for it. Eg programming.

If you want to figure our what courses you like you might want to attend test lectures, if you can't find them then try looking on YouTube and while your at it view the students a day in [course] videos on yt

I know what course I'd like to do, as in I already have an idea, and I've sat in a couple of lectures of that course. I want to go into finance, and typically they take econ/stem students but you can get in with a different kind of degree.

The course I'm studying rn is maths, so it's diverse in the sense the job opportunities are good, but again, 3 years doing smth when I'm burnt out, idk if I can push through. Esp considering that post secondary school education is a choice.

I have an audit job on the line, so I can pursue that instead during this gap year.. But I don't know
