Some suggestions:

1.

Be more direct in the Summary - "Highly motivated second year software engineering student seeking a one year full-time placement in xxxxx field, preferably in xxxxx location but willing to consider other areas. Experienced in xxxxx"

2.

Put the current project at the top of the list.

3.

List ANY previous work experience, e.g. retail etc. even volunteering or temporary jobs such as Christmas cover.

4.

List the specific computer languages you know and the level of proficiency (expert/working knowledge/basic etc.)

5.

Any other miscellaneous stuff like full driving licence, any foreign languages spoken, competitive sport

6.

Google "success words for CV" or similar and use SOME but don't over-egg it!

7.

Finally, good luck!

hey thanks so much!

yea, ive done tutoring for a couple years now (started w just my sis but then took on more people 🙂 ) so ill add that

and for the miscallaenous stuff, do you think i should just header it with like "Misc" or?

also should i get rid of one of my projects maybe or change the formatting? its kinda hard to keep it to 1 page haha and like i heard the cv should be 1 page so idk

thanks so much for the feedback!

I dunno about length, maybe the current trend is to keep it to 1 page but we always said 2 was OK so would only can one of the projects if you really want to stick to one page.

Yes, a section titled 'Miscellaneous' where you list things which appear unconnected but may be of interest to the recruiter is very useful, e.g. driving licence may come in handy but also shows personal motivation to see a task through, competitive team sport shows determination and understanding of team values/roles etc. but the most important part from a recruiter's perspective is the previous work experience so definitely add the tutoring and maybe mention starting with one kid then building up to XX (shows you are good at it!!).
