Having my Personal statement reviewed

I would like some feedback on my personal statement
I would like to do computer science and cybersecurity at City, Brunel, Royal Holloway, York, Southampton, or Kent.

I'm unsure if is safe to post a personal statement online so if we could get in contact another way, for example linked In

It's not safe to post your PS online, (or share with random people, no matter how well-meaning they are). But there is a free PS review service right here on TSR! More info in first post here:

Hiya -

I would agree with the other comment on this thread - definitely don't post your statement online. It could be subject to plagiarism which you definitely don't want!

My advice would be to get someone you trust to have a read through, whether that be a friend or family member. Another great option is a trusted teacher at college/sixth form.

There's also lots of helpful advice for writing your PS on the UCAS website and lots of blog posts on student room too!

Good luck! I'm currently studying at Brunel and if you have any questions about the uni, I'd be happy to help 🙂

Thank you,

may I ask what course you are doing at Brunel?

I’m currently in the department of health sciences. I know that if you head to UCAS and search Unibuddy - there are students there you can chat to from Brunel that may be on computer science related courses! Hope that helps 😊

Hi,
I hope you are well!😊

I would definitely agree with the advice on this thread. Getting a teacher, tutor, careers advisor, family member, or trusted adult to read your personal statement is the best way to get feedback, and is also a good idea when it comes to proof-reading too.

Computer Science and Cybersecurity sounds really interesting! Please do let me know if you have any questions about studying at Kent in general, or about Computer Science (Cyber Security) at Kent!

We'd love to welcome you to our next open day, which is on the 5th of October at Canterbury campus, where you'll be able to find out more about studying at Kent, and some of the perks of studying at a "University which has been recognised by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) as an Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Education (ACE-CSE) with a Gold Award" - click here to find out more!

I hope this helps! Good luck with your applications!🍀
Let us know if you have any other questions!

Best wishes,
Josie
