Hello,

I'm looking for some tips on how to self teach a level English literature, if anyone has any it would be very helpful.
I'm currently just reading the books without analysing them but plan to after, I'm just not sure as to how is the best way to go about it as there is a lot to cover. Thanks.

Definitely YouTube, google scholar and I have a post on the student room where someone commented a website. Also if you search up “poems of the decade analysis….” on google, there are a lot of English websites that have annotations. Miss Hannah loves grammar, Mark Birch and Mrs Prothero are good. Also knowunity and studocu

I would suggest making flashcards with top quotes and key learnings/ knowledge to retain.
Then you can use youtube channels like Mr salles or Mr Everything to better understand key texts.
And finally practice essay writing every week in real exam conditions. Tilf website is great for this coz it gives you feedback on what exactly you need to improve according to your exam board in order to get higher band.
Do this regularly, practicing all past year mocks and focus on how to structure your essay!
