Is the Casio fx-991EX allowed for A Level Maths exams?

Hi! I was wondering whether this calculator is suitable for A Level. I think they’ve discontinued this model and made a newer one so would I be better off buying a new one or will this one be fine in exams?

Yes you can use it, no need to buy the newer one

The 991EX was the standard calculator for A level until recently so you should be fine - there will still be loads of people around who already have this model.

Be aware if you pick up the newer CW version they've made some subtle changes that have annoyed a few people, like the S-D button disappearing and being replaced by an option off a Format menu! So if you're used to an older version, have a look at some youtube videos or online comparisons before switching.
I really dislike the new CW version. I'm hoping to buy the 991EX used from someone.
The CW is still perfectly useable for A level exams, but I'm just too used to the other calculator format.
