SFE Cancelled my Master's Loan Application?

I applied for a Master's loan back in June, and I sent off my UK birth certificate as that's what was asked for. It got sent back, no update on account after 6 weeks. I called them to check if anything needed to be re-sent, they said no, and I would receive an update in 6 days, maybe more. I waited weeks, no update. I called again, they said they hadn't processed my certificate for whatever reason, but I didn't need to send it again, they would do so in 14 days. Nothing happened again, but when I checked my account today, my application had been cancelled.
What gives? I'll call tomorrow to hopefully get some answers, but does anyone have any idea what could have happened here? Everything about my application is straightforward - no dependents etc...
The only thing I couldn't do was upload a UK passport online, which is why I sent my birth certificate instead. My uni wanted to see proof of this loan before I start, and now it looks like that won't be possible, even though I thought I started my application early enough (e.g., I applied in June for a course that starts in October). Not entirely sure what to do here.

Hi Ganl,

The application may have been cancelled if you started it and did not fully submit it but if you call us directly we will be able to provide more insight on this.

Thanks,
Calum

Hi, I called and asked about it - apparently it's just an automatic thing due to inactivity as there was a delay initially processing my certificate, but it hasn't actually been cancelled, I've been told it'll update in a few days or so as nothing seems to be wrong with it.
