Changing uni during freshers week

I moved into uni accommodation, at Bangor uni. Bangor is a beautiful place with lots of hill. But im very homesick as Im original from Essex, I thought Bangor would suit me but I feel so alone as im so far from home, 6 hours in total.
I have been thinking for the past couple of days to move to a closer uni to my home town which is about only an hour and half away. But I'm not sure if its nerves or being homestick.
I have looked into the other uni that is closer to my home town, it has better lab and better accreditation and more people do placement year not just 6 people as im doing biomed.

I need some help. I don't know what to do.

Move, 6 hours is a long commute. Do it now during freshers week cos next weeks the lectures will start in earnest.

Hi there, what did you decide to do in the end? Hope everything is working out for you either way.

Hi, Thanks for asking about what my decidtion. I spoke to a friend for a while about it and decided to leave it and i am happy i did. First couple of week felt off, but now got better with society related stuff and friends and course.

Additionally i have booked my second year accommodation to live in halls again, due to getting overly stressed on dealing with second year accom and friends.

Either way thank you for checking up

That’s really good to hear (and hopefully will reassure anyone in a similar situation next September/october that things often do get better)
