Funding for Three-Year Degree After Repeating Foundation Year

I previously completed a course with an integrated foundation year, but I had to repeat the foundation year. Now, I’m applying for a three-year degree program. Will I still have enough funding available to complete this degree, considering I repeated the foundation year?

Hi ellamunro123,

How many years of previous study do you have in total?

Thanks,

Hi ellamunro123,

If you have two years of previous study before your current course then you will need to self fund the 1st year of the new course as things stand. If there were circumstances outside your control that led to you repeating a year you can send us a cover letter explaining this along with supporting evidence to apply for an additional year of tuition fee funding.

Thanks,
Calum

How would I go about sending a cover letter?

Also, if you do a 4 year degree program don't you have 4 years of entitlement plus a gift year, so wouldn't this leave me with 3 years left of entitlement.

Hi ellamunro123,

You can upload your cover letter and supporting evidence through your online account. The previous study calculation would be the length of your course + additional year - years of previous study.

Thanks,
Calum
