How to use student beans discount with self service till?

Hi, I’m sorry this is a slightly stupid question. I’m at college doing a two year course and therefore am renting a place close to the college. It is a pretty massive leap for me, though I will only be staying away from home part time. I decided to get a student beans account and it looks amazing.
I can see how to use it online or if going through a checkout but I often use the self service as I struggle a lot with social interaction. How can I use student beans with a self service machine? Is it possible?
