Applying to Scottish unis from england
Would it be stupid of me to apply for Edinburgh, Glasgow, St Andrews amongst my 5 unis? I am really keen on going to Scotland and want to study maths. I am predicted 4a*s. If this is too competitive, I will probably apply to Durham instead of at Andrews. Any thoughts?

Honestly there’s a running joke amongst Scottish students that we shouldn’t apply to Edinburgh, St Andrews etc since it’s just English students so I don’t think it will put you at a disadvantage. Keep in mind that St Andrews is notoriously difficult to get into tho so maybe check ur personal statement etc
