Yes, you can do that. You will need to update the education section in UCAS Hub to record the fact that you're currently studying Dental Nursing at uni, and you may need to add your actual exam results (assuming you applied with predicted grades).

However, the unis to which you're applying will likely want to see a reference from your existing uni - hence your existing uni will know about your new application.

You could try applying using your old school / college as a reference, and hope none of the unis to which you apply ask for a reference from your uni. But I think you need to assume that at least one of them will ask for one, and that your existing uni will therefore become aware.

Does your existing uni not offer Dental Hygiene? Have you spoken with them about switching courses, or about formally applying for Dental Hygiene there?

thank you so much for your reply 🙂 who exactly would know about my application? would it be my course tutors/lecturers? or someone else? ik it sounds silly but i havent even been here a month yet and I think that me applying to a diff course will look rude or something or like im not interested or bothered to do dental nursing (even though i really am)

my current uni does dental hygiene but i cant transfer bc i dont think its allowed/possible. also i dont even meet the entry requirements for dental hygiene/therapy at this uni. i do however meet the requirements at other universities so thats why i wanted to reapply to other schools

The person who would know would be whoever you name as your referee. That person will have a hard time writing an academic reference, given that you've only been there a few weeks.

You say that you're really interested in Dental Nursing. So why the desire to switch to Dental Hygiene / Therapy?
