There's this school dance coming up, homecoming, and I have this friend. He said he might be going, and I kind of want to ask him if he'll go with me as a plus one (since my friend is bringing someone along with us)
We've been friends for a few years, and I don't know if me asking him to go with me will ruin our friendship or not.
Should I ask him?

id say go for it, if youve been friends for a while you should be pretty comfortable around each other so it shouldnt be too awkward, and it would be fun if you went together

UPDATE: i didn't ask him to go with me officially, but when i was there last night, i asked him if he wanted to join me and my other friend, and he said yes.
