Help!!

I am a medical student that did a foundation year and 3 years of medicine. Unfortunately I have to re-sit 3rd year due to personal circumstances. I want to know what I am entitled to from SFE as previously I have full maintenance and tuition fee. I feel very stuck and stressed as there are conflicting information everywhere. Please help.

Hi there. How many years is your course in total? Was your foundation year on a separate course? Have you ever studied another course previously? Thanks, Leah.

Hi

My course is 6 years together.

The foundation year was part of the course and I did it in the same university.

Thanks

Hi there,

Can you confirm your course name and university you're studying with? When did your course start? Is it full time or part time?

Thanks,
Claire

Hi it’s Gateway year to MBChB at University of Leeds (course code is A101). I started my course in 2020 and it is a full time course.

Thanks. You get an additional year from SFE for any repeats, so providing this wasn't used on any other previous study, you would be entitled to funding for the repeat. Thanks, Leah.

I called SFE today but the person I spoke to kept repeating that I would not be getting any tuition fee, is this true? Please let me know as I pm panicking a little.

Thank you

Did they explain why? Thanks, Leah.

All they said was that they SFE doesn’t give tuition fee if you are resitting a year?

Are you classed as an internal or external student for the repeat? Thanks, Leah.
