Adv highers or highers for medicine

Im studying 4 highers (bio, chem, maths and english) at college, planning to do bio chem and maths at advanced higher level next year.

Im just wondering considering ill take adv highers next year, should i also be taking 5 highers this year or will i be fine having just 4?

im not 100% sure on this but I think 5 is the standard practise, a quick search shows Edinburgh want a minimum of AAABB by the end of S5 and then BC at advanced higher. not sure what others require as Edin would be on the higher end I imagine.

Hi,
You'll need 5 highers for medical school in scotland. as 5 A's is Standard for entry. If ur minimum entry requirements, then look into Aberdeen. and also look into gateway to med (only need AABB)

Hello! You absolutely do need 5 Highers, Scottish universities are very picky about that. And the previous entry requirements are only applicable for Widening Access participants, typically you’d need AAAAA and then BB at AHs
Hope this helps
