Application Help for Tomorrow!

What Unis should I apply for as I do not want to take a gap year. Non-Contextual.

UCAT - 2650 Band 2 (first time and am quite disappointed as I was averaging around 2900 on my mocks)
640 Verbal Reasoning
620 Decision Making
670 Quantitative Reasoning
720 Abstract Reasoning
Band 2 Situational Judgement

Predicted A levels - A*AA (Maths, Biology, Chemistry respectively) + A in EPQ

GCSEs - 8,8,8,7,7,7,7,7,7,5 (8 in Bio, Chem and Maths plus 7 in English Lang)

Good Personal Statement (Volunteering done for 3 months plus other medical related workshops etc)

Right now I have a few shortlisted but other uni recommendations are also appreciated:
Liverpool
Leicester
Cardiff
Keele
Lancaster
Bangor

Awesome to hear that you're interested in Cardiff! Congrats on your achievements 🙂 Medicine here is a brilliant course. As a student rep I will always encourage anyone to apply to Cardiff haha but please let me know if you had any questions for me about applying or studying at Cardiff

Do you think I would be able to get an interview for 2025 entry with academics in original post?

Cardiff will be risky with your GCSE's if you are not welsh or contextual

Hi Fatiha,
Regarding applying to Cardiff, could I ask if Cardiff could be viable for myself, as an RUK non-contextual student, given my stats? I have 2680 B2 at UCAT but 10 9s at GCSE and predicted 3A* + A in chem - would appreciate any advice, thank you.

Hi!

I wouldn't be able to put any input unfortunately as I'm not one of the people behind the admissions process, but if you're interested in Cardiff and if you meet the minimum requirements so far, as found on this page, to give it your best shot  If you're unsure of any requirements, definitely contact the admissions team.

I would say as well, if you were unsure about anything medicine-related, chat to our medicine students on Unibuddy! They're currently doing the course.
