Accomodation

Hi,

Was wondering if I can apply for accommodation that is for a different university than the one I am studying at?

If you mean on campus accommodation, I can't see that happening... (typically also, your uni ID which is used as a keycard to get around campus is also used to access your building/room)

If you mean generic student accommodation i.e. private landlord, I would say that's down to their own discretion. Albeit I've only ever had one landlord ever ask for my student ID or proof I've been accepted onto a course from my university and that was to provide the local council with my council tax exemption certificate and student status certificate.

I do know where I went to uni (UWE), where private accommodation went quickly, a lot of students rented in Wales and travelled to Bristol...

Hi @Charl13coll1ns

You're not going to be able to apply for halls owned and managed by other universities BUT in those same cities you will be able to apply for privately run halls, and then after that, individual landlord owned houses and flats.

I highly recommend looking at the privately run halls .

Shot me a message if you have questions.
